Facilitating Local Industry Connections

The Capital Area Independent Insurance Agents (CAIIA) brings together area independent agents, company and vendor friends to share ideas, provide a platform for local insurance programming and continuing education, and to pursue community charitable endeavors as a group.

There is no better organization to build and nurture a base of peer relationships with fellow agents and those in surrounding businesses that support our industry.

Promoting Growth through Discussion

Quarterly meetings at Reno's East (East Lansing) may center around one of the following:

  • Guest speakers discussing timely industry news
  • State or local legislative representatives working on issues of interest to agents, their businesses and the clients they serve
  • Topical insurance professional development programming, often including continuing education credit
  • Charity work and event organizing

Giving Back to Our Community

IIAGC organizes several charitable initiatives throughout the year, including a summer golf outing (scroll down to view 2021 outing pics) and Christmas party/toy collection event. To find out more, contact CAIIA President Ron Devers through the below link:

2021 Golf Outing

CAIIA hosted 26 golfers, August 11 at the Eldorado Golf Club in Mason. It was a great day of golf (when not raining) and networking (in the club house when it was raining!). Proceeds from the outing went to support the Lansing City Rescue Mission.
